Why Lindenmere Adult Camp and NOT a different Adult Camp?

Lindenmere Adult Camp is specifically designed for adults, by experts in the summer camp industry who have been operating Lindenmere for over 10 years. That’s right, we don’t rent a camp for the weekend, we live it 24/7. This is our camp and we want to share this special place with as many people as possible so it can become your camp. We will be with you all the way and are here to answer any questions you may have.

Can I drive to camp or do you have organized bus transportation to camp?

There will be a bus departing & returning to/from NYC. The bus will leave from Lincoln Center (62nd & Columbus) on Friday at 3pm to head to camp. It will leave camp at the end of the weekend at 2pm to return back to the same location in NYC. Tickets for the bus can be purchased, in addition to the weekend fee, through the online registration form. Catching the bus is the preferred transport to camp and will give you the traditional camp experience. If you prefer to drive to camp there are a limited number of parking spots available and can be reserved during the registration process. No unregistered cars will be allowed on camp.

When do I find out who my bunk mates are and how is that determined? Can I bunk with my friend?

After your registration you will be able to log in and complete your bunk request form. For those of you who are coming with some friends, you will want to name them on this form. Don’t know anyone? No problem, there is a section on the form for you to fill out to tell us a little about yourself so that we can match you as best as we can with other like minded campers! Camp is all about making new friends and trying new things.

Are the bunks coed?

No, bunks are not coed but private rooms can be. So tell us what you are looking to do and we will do the best we can to accomodate you.

Does camp supply bedding or do I need to bring my own?

You will need to bring your own bedding, pillow & towels or maybe even your favorite stuffed toy. If you are staying in a cabin single size sheets will fit. If you are staying in a semi private or private room sheet sizes will vary depending on the type of bed requested. Your best sleeping bag is also a great option.

What do I need to pack?

You are going to need to pack for 4 days and 3 nights or 3 days and 2 nights of fun in the mountains. Bring some warmer clothes for those cooler mountian days/nights plus some active wear so you are comfortable through out the day. Bring your own toiletries. You also need to check in on the special events that are going to be offered during your stay. There might be some fun theme parties, special color war games and so much more. Dont forget to bring an open mind, sharing attitude and lots of fun energy.

What shouldn't I bring?

You can definitely leave your alcohol at home as we will have some for you. We will have a Designated Smoking Area (DSA) which must be adhered to as putting out fires is not our favorite thing to do. Lindenmere is strictly a drug free property. Anyone or any vehicle found with any illegal drugs will be asked to leave immediately without refund.

Can the whole family come to camp?

Unfortunately, all campers of Lindenmere Adult Camp need to be over the age of 21. However if you and your whole family is over 21 then bring it on!!

You are free to do everything or nothing at all. You may find us encouraging you to join in from time to time as we’re camp people but we won’t be too pushy!!

Why am I getting a color war team?

Ah yes the amazing Color War. Color War is a little competition throughout your stay at camp designed to be fun, inclusive and give everyone that traditional camp experience. The camp is divided up into four teams represented by a specific color.

What food will be on offer? Can I bring my own?

We have a fantastic kitchen staff trained by our General Manager from our restaurants in Vail Colorado. Our carefully planned menu and alternative options at each meal won’t leave you hungry. There will be multiple entrees served at every meal along with loaded salad bars, baked potato bars, pasta bars and much more. We will have a snack & drink cart roaming the camp during activities and there will always be tea & coffee available from the dining hall. At our late night events we will also have the canteen open serving a variety of traditional late night snacks like camp made pizza! If you do have dietary needs please contact us with any of your concerns. Bringing your own food can lead to unwanted local wildlife visiting your bunk so we suggest not bringing any additional food with you.

I have a peanut allergy, what measures are taken and should I bring an Epi Pen?

Lindenmere is a Nut Aware camp. This means we do our best to limit any nuts entering our camp. We work diligently with our suppliers to ensure that any thing that we order has no nut products in their ingredients. We recomend that you bring your own Epi Pen if it makes you feel more comfortable. You will be responsible for its safe keeping.

How much alcohol can I drink each day? Can I bring my own?

As previously mentioned there is no BYO alcohol at Lindenmere Adult Camp. There will be enough alcohol for you to have a good time. We want everyone to enjoy their time at Lindenmere Adult Camp but we won’t let your good time ruin other campers fun.

Do I need to bring money with me?

There will be a small camp store with our camp merchandise.

Will I have cell phone reception?

There is cell phone reception however we encourage all campers to leave your phones packed away. The outside world will be there for you at the end of the weekend. You don’t want it to hold you back from all the fun you are going to have.

Who do my friends/family call if there is an emergency I need to know about?

Your friends/family can contact our office in the event of an emergency anytime and we will find you immediately.

What happens if there is an emergency at camp?

If in the event you do arrive late there will be a staff member assigned to your arrival so you can transition into camp quickly. So if life does get in the way it’s ok to be late or leave early. We hope you understand that we are unable to prorate any fees.
